Overview

At this step, the project focused on the Swabian Castle of Bari (Apulia, Italy), one of the pilot cases identified in Italy. The Castle of Bari, erected since the 1131 by the Norman King Ruggero II, is located in the Northwest side of the ancient town of the Apulian chief town, in a strategic position for the monitoring and domination of the city. The Castle, with its soaring quadrangular towers and bastions, has been investigated applying the operative protocol draft by the partners of the project.

Particularly, in the picture it is visible the reconstruction a 3D textured point cloud of the stone facade of the fortification, carried out processing the high-resolution images acquired during the survey campaign.
